2Mars Multirover 2032

2032: the recent success stories of the human Mars missions, quickly made us yearn for more. With the discovery of both water sources and locations that agree with agricultural exploitation, the new mission “2MARS” was inevitably to follow.

Earth’s pressure on fossil fuel use, made weight shipping to Mars a limiting factor. No more than 250 WU (standard weight units) can be shipped economically, apart from the astronauts and a minimalistic temporal accommodation. The 2MARS mission is therefore set up in such a way that a MultiRover will help build a habitat on Mars with local resources. Soil and water will provide a porous insulating concrete like building material. The MultiRover acts as the astronaut’s Swiss army knife, with modules for scanning, communication, digging and full autonomy based on self-sufficient solar power units, all neatly packed within WU restrictions.

With the MultiRover groundbreaking progress will be made in the development of habitats and subterranean greenhouses, in the next step of humanity spreading its wings and expanding 2MARS!

Welcome commander. As the landing sequence is to initiate in 30 minutes, please reread the manual of the MultiRover unit and the component overview, as final preparation for your mission. Good luck, commander: for Glory, for Earth, 2MARS!
